And thank you for the feedback. To write this reply I took a break from recording another new video for landscape photographers on using Split ND filters. Once this is completed I'll be going back to record another studio demo setup. Please stay tuned and THANK YOU for being here.

Sincerely,
Alec

Re: Mason Thelen via Platon

Alec - thank you for posting such a thorough lesson. Many times you'll see just the lesson on the setup or the photoshop, but rarely do I see both pieces. I love the final look and I'll enjoy "copying" your efforts.

Keep up the great work!

Re: Mason Thelen via Platon

Hi Kevin,

Welcome home. Glad you and your wife enjoy the image.

This is going to sound like a sales pitch, but I learned my photoshop work by taking photography workshops that offered both skill sets.

I too offer both in my workshops, because I believe its the best time to learn them...that is, learning them together. Then you start learning how to shoot to the strengths of photoshop, not away. It changes how you see and shoot in the field.

Cheers,
Alec

Re: Mason Thelen via Platon

Alec, I am thoroughly impressed with your skill at Photoshop. How did you learn these things? I'd love to improve my own skills in this area.

Re: Mason Thelen via Platon

Good Morning Wes,

You're welcome, and THANK YOU for the post. Also, I'm always looking for suggestions/ideas on content, how to improve the video, etc.

Re: Mason Thelen via Platon

A fantastic lesson in lighting, Alec. Thank you so much for this post. I also like the final result on Mason's portrait. What other post processing did you do, if any? This almost looks like the toning I see during the HDR process.

Thanks a lot for making your posts a great learning experience,
Wes
